“Adult” iPhone Apps Given Second Life

iPhone Adult Content?

iPhone Adult Content?

It seems like everyone these days has a problem with Apple’s vetting process for the iTunes apps store, whether it’s the censorship of Trent Reznor’s Nine Inch Nails app or the release of that unfortunate baby-shaking game. When the iPhone 3.0 is released with built-in parental controls, though, Apple may no longer enforce an all-or-nothing policy for the store. The latest version of the iPhone software will feature a number of parental-control levels, including 4+, 9+, 12+, and 17+. After the announcement of the new OS, Apple has gone through the trouble of letting certain formerly rejected app manufacturers know that they may want to resubmit their apps. Get ready for a deluge.
